The diversion will be as follows:

From Piccadilly Station

Boulevard to close for one week

The road through the hospitals complex will close on Saturday 14th January for one week. The closure is to allow for road repairs on The Boulevard.  During the closure the 147 will not be able to access the bus stop on The Boulevard and will divert around the hospitals site rather than pass through it.  It will stop at the bus stop on Oxford Road just after Nelson St as well as  all the usual bus stops on Hathersage Road, Upper Brook St and Grafton St.

The work is due to be completed over the weekend of 21st / 22nd January and the 147 should be operating on the Boulevard on Monday 23rd January.

Closure of Nelson Street 22nd August for 1 week

In addition to the restrictions currently in place preventing the use of Oxford Road in a southerly directionand the associated rerouting of the 147 through the hospital in a northerly direction, exiting onto Oxford Road at Nelson St, we have been advised that Nelson St will close to traffic for one week from 22nd August.

This will mean that the Boulevard will be closed to through traffic and the 147 will be diverted again.

This time the diversion will be as follows:

Normal route from Piccadilly as far as Booth street where the bus will turn left onto Booth St East and then right onto Upper Brook St. Driving south and turning left along Plymouth Grove as far as Hathersage Road where they will turn right. Then up to Upper Brook st where they will turn right on to Upper Brook St and travel in a northerly direction along the NORMAL ROUTE.

Passengers for the hospital will need to use the stops on Upper Brook Street or the one on GRAFTON ST.

Even though the restriction will be lifted on Tuesday 30th August, it is likely that this diversion will be maintained for the whole week until the normal route is fully restored on Monday 5th September.

Apologies once again for the inconvenience.
